EATAEWON in Metro Manila

"The food could use some improvements. The kimbap looks and tastes a bit dry, which makes me think that it might not have been freshly made. I’m not a huge fan of their chicken, a bit bland inside, I hope flavors were infused more into the meat. The beef, on the other hand, is great. It’s tender and not tough at all. The kimchi rice is decent, a bit spicy which I personally like. The store wasn’t crowded, but there isn’t much space for large groups. I find their dish name really, really witty. Since I am a KDrama fan, I easily recognized them. "This casual Korean restaurant may be small, but it’s full of vibrant energy with colorful neon signs and a cozy, playful interior. Since the space is limited, it tends to get packed, but we got lucky on a Sunday night and secured a table. They have a wide variety of menu options, but we settled for their Love Box (similar to a dosirak) and honey mustard chicken wings. Everything was served within 20 minutes. We loved the Korean beef—flavorful and tender. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the iteokbokki and kimchi tasted spot-on, bringing that authentic Korean kick. The chicken wings were cooked perfectly too—crispy outside, tender and juicy inside. Definitely a place we’d love to return to when craving Korean food—assuming we’re lucky enough to find a table again!"
